Course Description
 The official course description on MATH 302.
 This course contains introductory treatment of topics in analysis and topology, with the real line as a central example. The main goal is to develop the skill of writing proofs using clear, cogent and complete mathematical language. Techniques include connected and compact sets, sequences and subsequences, continuity, and uniform approximation.
Homework Assignments
 Homework assignments will be assigned and collected each week. The tentative due date is on Tuesday in class.
 The homework is not pledged. You are encouraged to discuss the problems. However, each student is responsible for the final preparation of his/her own homework papers.

Exams
 There will be a inclass midterm exam and a takehome final exam. The schedule will be determined later and subject to change if needed. You may use the textbook or notes, but no other helps.
 Exams are under honor code. Be sure and hand in all the work you do on each problem. Good luck!
